今回はDWEのブルーで扱われている《💿【9】The Thank You Song》の歌詞と該当する《📙BOOK１》の内容を種として、“おうち英語”の学びの芽を育てていきます📝🌱
1 Introduction of the venue
この場面では、キャラクターたちが「ありがとう」を伝えてくれます。
ストレートプレイの映像にも、様々なディズニーキャラクターの「ありがとう」の場面が出てきますよ。
『The Thank You Song』では、ありがとうは魔法の言葉だといっています。
我が家では、『The Thank You Song』を「Thank you 〇〇（人の名前）」のように感謝を伝えたい人の名前を入れて、替え歌にして、感謝の気持ちを伝え合うようにしていました🐱
DWEの卒業式で歌うThe Thank You Songも、とても感動的ですよね。
ちなみに、卒業式では「thank you mummy」の歌詞が、「thank you mother」になっていて、子どもたちの成長が感じられる替え歌になっています。
この日を目標にして、“おうち英語”に取り組むDWEユーザーさんも多いのではないでしょうか？
2 Learn grammar
🌸関係代名詞that🌸

3 コラム ～関係代名詞「that」を楽しく学ぼう！~
英語を学ぶと、一番初めに出てくる「Hello！」と「Thank you！」。
「Thank you！」は「ありがとう」という感謝の気持ちを表すとても一般的な表現ですね！
「The Thank you Song」は、ディズニーのキャラクターたちが、「Thank you」のスペルを確認しながら、ママやパパに感謝を伝える歌となっています。
今回は、この歌の歌詞に出てくる関係代名詞(that)について解説します。
ざっくりいいますと、関係代名詞（“who”、“which”、“that”など）を用いると、2つの文章を1つの文にまとめることができます。
【He has a sister.】 +【 She has long hair.】
=【He has a sister who has long hair.】
こんな感じです。
高校や大学の入試試験では、“who”、“which”、“that”などの使い分けが聞かれる訳ですが、関係代名詞のthatを中心に述べますと、関係代名詞thatは、主格、目的格の関係代名詞として使うことができます.
つまり、「人が先行詞だった場合のwhoや人以外が先行詞だった場合のwhichの代わりにthatを使ってOK」ということです。
例1
The woman that works in the library is my sister’s friend.
（図書館で働くあの女性は私の姉の友達です。）
例2
I’m selling the car that I bought in America.
（アメリカで買ったその車を売りに出しています。）
例3
Yesterday, I met a girl that works in the shop.
（昨日、そのお店で働いている女の子に出会いました。）
などのように使います。
但し、所有格のwhoseの代わりにthatを使うことはできません。
例5
The man whose（×that） wallet was stolen went to the police.
（財布を盗まれたその男性は、警察へ向かった。）
ところで、「目的格の関係代名詞にはthatが使える」と述べたのですが、目的格の関係代名詞は省略されることが多いです（特に会話ではほとんどの場合に省略されるようです。）.
お子さんが関係代名詞を使っていたり省略したりする場面をみつけてみてください。
おまけ‐特にthatが優先して使われる場面‐
上述したようにwhoやwhichに優先してthatを使われます。
ただ、試験対策として「thatが優先して使われる場合」をご紹介します。
・先行詞が最上級の形容詞だった場合
具体的には、名詞にthe first, the only, the very, the sameなど、非常に強い修飾が付いている場合

（これ、今まで食べた中で一番のパンケーキだよ。）

You are the first guy that said so.
（そう言ってくれたのは、あなたが初めてです。）
・先行詞にall, no, any, everyなど数量詞が付いている、あるいは先行詞自体がall, noなどの場合

What do you want to have for dinner? I’ll cook anything that you want.
（お夕飯、何食べたい？ 好きな物、何でも作ってあげる！）

（お母さんの作る料理は、全部好き！）
母国語方式として英語を習得した後、「受験対策としての英語」を勉強する場合は「そんなもんなんだ」という感覚で参考書や問題集に出てくるものを覚えてしまうことがコツになりそうです。
