今回のお歌は、ケーキ作りに必要な材料を確認しながら、バースデーケーキを作っている場面です。
一般家庭では、ケーキ作りを再現することはなかなか難しいと思いますが、パンケーキなら同じ材料で頻繁に作れると思います🌸
我が家でも、よくパンケーキ作りをしてこのお歌を歌いました！
今回の実践の極意を担当してくれているりのさんのお宅でもホットケーキ作りをしながら、このお歌を歌っていたみたいです👀
EDWZでも、パンケーキ作りの場面が出てくるのですが、EDWZのガイドブックにパンケーキ作りのフレーズがまとまっているので便利ですよ😸

3 コラム ～asを使った比較表現をイメージ ~
ここのお歌のポイントは、as ～ as (～) can be 「この上なく～である」の表現です。
「as easy as can be」は、「あり得る限りの簡単なものと同じくらい簡単」という意味を表します。
つまり「とっても簡単」という意味ですね🌸
ソングの中では、「ケーキづくりはとっても簡単だ」と歌っています🎂
《派生》
「as easy as I can」は、何かをできる限り簡単に行うことを意味します。
「as easy as you can」は、「できるだけ簡単に」という意味で、説明などを求められた際に使われます。
さらにas ～ asを使った表現としては以下のようなものもあります🌸
I am as tired as can be.
私はとても疲れている。

私はとても（この上なく）幸福だ。

asは大学受験英語で頻出の単語なので、asを使った表現を一生懸命覚えたよ、という方も多いと思います。
母国語方式の“おうち英語”では子供たちは自然に感覚的にasを用いた表現を習得していきますので、今回紹介するフレーズもママやパパの記憶の喚起に留め、決してお子さんに覚えるように強制しないようにしてくださいね！
否定文では、「A is not as ～ as B（AはBほど〜じゃない）」となり、AはBと同じ程度ではない（ＡがBよりも劣っている）ことを表します。
その他【as ～ as (～)を使った表現】
「as～as … can」（…にできるだけ～）
「as～as any…」（どんな…にも劣らず～）（…の中で一番～）
「as good as it gets」（最高 or 諦め）
「as good as～」（～同然）
「not so much～as …」（～というより、むしろ…）

✅ お風呂の中でケーキ作り🎂🍓（りのさん）
『Flower,Sugar,Milk and Butter』のお歌を歌いながら、お風呂にある「洗面器＆あわっぴ＆ボディソープ」を使ってケーキ作りをします🎂
この時「How many cups of milk do you need?」や「How many eggs do you need?」、「How much milk do you need?」などの声掛けを同時にすることで、much/many/a lot やa littleや a fewを実体験と結びつけて落とし込むことができます🥺✨
また、milkを準備するときはボディタオルを泡でいっぱいにして、milking（乳しぼり）ができます🐄🍼
（これは子どもも大いに喜びました！）
ケーキを作る際は、あわっぴを数種類使ったり、入浴剤を使ったりしてカラフルな泡を用意すると、色々な種類のケーキを作ったりすることができ、色の名前やフルーツの名前を覚えることもできます🍓🍊🍇
この泡を使ってミルク屋さんやアイスクリーム屋さんもできまよ🍼🍦
ボディタオルを使うことで「squeeze（搾り出す、ぎゅっと握る）」の意味も理解がしやすくなります✨
このときはLP4のお歌を歌うか、「keep on milking until the bucket is full!!」 と声をかけることができます🐄💕
お風呂にある台の下や、椅子の下にケーキを入れて「put the cake into the oven!」や、「How long does it take to bake?」と声をかけると、どのくらいかかるかという表現もインプットできます🕰️✨
また、オーブンに入れたあとは「We have to wait, but I can’t wait!」などと、「have to」や楽しみで待てないという意味での「can’t wait」をインプットすることができます。
「もう焼けた？」と聞く際に「Is it done yet?」を使うことで、「All done!」や、「Not yet!」を引き出すこともできます✨
