今回はDWEのブルーで扱われている《💿【16】Up,Down》の歌詞と該当する《📙BOOK２》の内容を種として、“おうち英語”の学びの芽を育てていきます📝🌱
1 Introduction of the venue
今回のお歌は、ヒューイ・デューイ・ルーイが チップとデールを追いかけ、階段を上ったり下りたりしている場面です。
階段がある場所でこのお歌を歌ったり、語り掛けをする際に歌詞を応用したりできます！
PAでも、赤ちゃんを抱っこしてアップ・ダウンさせるお歌がありますが、年齢に合わせて曲を選んでください🌸
お歌を歌いながら身体も動かしてインプットしていきましょう😸

3 コラム ～「up」のイメージ～
このお歌で使われている「UpとDown」は、プレイアロングの「Up and Down」のお歌でも登場します。
「Up、Down」が使われているお歌には、
・Up, (up, up, up) to the top !
・They run up the stairs !
・They come down the stairs !
などの動きのあるフレーズが盛りだくさんですね🐱
「Up」や「Down」は、「上へ」、「下へ」というシンプルな位置関係を表すだけでなく、別のニュアンスで使われることもあります！
例えば、「Time is up!」のように時間の終わりを告げる場合にも「up」が使われますよね。
この「up」を直訳しようとすると、「時間が上がる？」って何？？などと簡単な単語のはずなのに、上手く訳せず、意味が分からない…といった経験をしたことがあると思います😹

などなど、一見簡単に見えるupという言葉が、違った場面で、それぞれの場面のイメージに合わせて登場しています！
だから、ニュアンスで躓かない。
それが、母国語方式の強みです！
ここでは、「up」のの使いかたの全体像を抑えてみましょう。
upについてのイメージ
✅ 増加
「up」が持つ重要なイメージの1番目は「増加」です。
何かの量や大きさなどが増えるときに使います。
量、質、大きさ、点数、料金など多くのことに当てはめて使用することができます。
✅ 終了
2番目は「最後まで上に上がりきって何かが終了する・完了する」イメージです。
✅ 位置関係
3番目は「何かが上に動く」イメージです。
「何かが今の状態から変化する」という大きなニュアンスを意識すると、位置関係を表す際の「up」は使用しやすくなるかもしれません。
✅ 距離感
「何センチ」や「何メートル」などの距離感のほか、「どのくらいの時間」や「人と人との間柄の距離感」を表す時にも距離を表す「up」が使われます。
"Come up with me.(私についておいで。)」などのように使われる「up」です。

今回の『Up,Down』のお歌は、普段の生活の中でもとても簡単に再現することができるので、再現遊びのスタートにもってこいの1曲です！
私もついつい家で歌っています。
DWEを始めたての時、私は、最初耳に残る“up down”、“up up up up”、“down down down”だけを歌っていたのですが、当時1歳の娘いーちゃんが、upとdownを一緒に口ずさむようになり、「私も1曲まるまる歌いたい」と思うようになって、初めてSing Along!のBOOKを開いて歌詞を確認しました！
お家に階段がある方は階段の登り降りでぜひ歌ってみてください！
お家に階段がない方も公園やお出かけ先の階段で歌ってみてください！
階段で走ると危ないので、小さなお子さんは気をつけてくださいね！
ここでちょっぴり場面のアレンジを加えてみましょう🥰
“Up the stairs they run,run,run!”の「stairs」を「escalator（エスカレーター）」に、「run」を「go」に変えると、
“Up the escalator they go,go,go!”となりますよね。
このように少しアレンジすると、ショッピングモールのエスカレーターで使えますよ☺ このように、少しで良いので（むしろ最初のうちは少しが良いので）、場面を変えて、再現することはとっても重要です！
