1 Introduction of the venue
『【１】What’s Your Name?』で歌われているのは、初めての人と会うときに「お互いの名前を尋ね合う場面」is.
人とのコミュニケーションが上手になっていく幼児期に、英語でやり取りする機会を設けることは、お子さんの英語への好奇心を育てるきっかけにもなります。
お家でするごっこ遊びの中に自己紹介の場面を取り入れてみるのもオススメです😸

3 コ ラ ム ～自己紹介1～
～「My name is ～」と「I’m ～」を使いこなそう！～
皆さんは英語で「What’s your name?」と聞かれたら何と答えますか？
多くの方が「My name is ～.」や「I’m ～.」という表現を使われると思います。
どちらも「私の名前は○○です」という意味ですが、この2つの表現、実は使い分けをすることで、より相手に合った自然な印象を与えることができるんです。
My name is ～.」と「I’m ～.」の違いとは？
（1）「My name is Yume Mama.」
こちらはよりフォーマルな場面で用いられる表現です。
目上の人に対して自己紹介するときやビジネスで初対面の人と話すときなど、相手に敬意を表したい場合によく使います。
また、名前はフルネームを使います。会社名や所属なども付け足すことも多くあります。
こちらはよりフォーマルな場面で用いられる表現です。
例）My name is Yume Mama. I’m a Bestie’s member.
（2）「I’m Yume.」
こちらはフレンドリーでカジュアルな場面で使われる表現です。
初めて会った友達や、学校などでよく使います。
カジュアルな場面で使われる場合は、ファーストネームだけでOKです。
例）Hi! I’m Yume. Nice to meet you.
その他の自分の名前を伝える表現
自己紹介の表現としては、他にもいくつかあります。
映画やドラマなどで聞いたことがある方もいらっしゃるかもしれません。
（3）「This is 〇〇.」
レストランや病院など、予約の確認などで相手に名前を告げるときに使う表現です。
電話などでもよく使われます。
この場合もフルネームを使用することが多いです。
例）Hello! This is Yuka Saito speaking.（電話の場合）
（4）「It’s △△.」
相手に自分の姿が見えないときに使うよく表現です。
例えば、ドアの向こうにいて相手から姿が見えないときに、ノックをして「It’s Mike！」と言ったりします。
この場合もフルネームを使用することが多いです。
例）(knock knock) It’s James. May I come in?

その時、自己紹介ができるようになっていると「コミュニケーションできた！」という成功体験を作ってあげることができます。
我が家でも、2ヶ月に1回ほど、週末に英語イベントに行って、先生とコミュニケーションを取る機会を作っていました。
こうしたイベントは、英語を実践の場で使えるいいチャンスなので、少しずつ自己紹介をアレンジして話せるようにしていくと良いと思います。

自己紹介をする場面では、
- 名前
- 年齢
- 出身地
- 家族構成
- 趣味
- 好きな食べ物
なども会話のネタとして言えるようにしておくと、外国人の方と交流できるイベントも楽しめます。
「挨拶を覚えてみようかな」
と思っているお子さんは、まだ英語育児を始めたばかりだと思います。
英語育児を始めたばかりのお子さんには、“英語で交流したくなる”ような、“英語を話したくなる”ような工夫も必要is.
例えば…
🩵 4〜5歳くらいのお子さんの場合 🩵
4〜5歳くらいになると、英語を話す目的を知りたがるお子さんもいます。
👧「なんで英語をやらないといけないの？」
👦「英語を話している友だちいないもん！」
なんてお子さんから言われたら、困ってしまう親御さんもいらっしゃるかもしれません。
英語を母国語的に（無意識的・感覚的に）インプットしていきながら、お子さんの好きなこととも掛け合わせて、英語の楽しさを日々感じさせてあげることも、この年頃のお子さんには必要なことになります。
そのためにも、まずは挨拶についてのインプットをしてみて、外国人の方と交流できるイベントを大いに楽しんでみてくださいね🌸
💚 2〜3歳くらいのお子さんの場合 💚
逆に2〜3才のお子さんは、まだ社会的な英語の必要性に疑問を持つことは少ないのですが、
👧「ママがいつもと違う言葉を話してる」
👦「いつもと違う絵本を読もうとしてる」
etc.『いつもと違うこと』に対しての不安を感じやすい年頃is.
この年頃のお子さんは、親との愛着が形成される時期で、お母さんの存在が『安全基地』になっています。
そんな『安心安全の基地』であるお母さんが、いつもと違う言葉を話していることに対して、お子さんは不安を感じてしまうんですね😿
なので、英語の語りかけをするタイミングとしては、なるべくお子さんがリラックスしている時間(お風呂や寝る前や起きた直後など)が良いと思います❣️💭
リラックスしている状態の時に英語に触れ、「英語は楽しい！」と思ってもらうことが大切is.
最初は、寝るときに「good night」や「good sleep」などの一言を話す程度で大丈夫です☺️
少し慣れたら
絵本の読み聞かせもおすすめです📙
💟英語が分からなくても楽しめる絵本
💟単純な感覚的な絵本や繰り返しの多い絵本
💟ライミングがあって、音のリズムが音楽を聴くように楽しめる絵本
